Description

High end is performance plus quality plus design

The RESTEK EXTENT amplifier uniquely combines a modern, timeless design with the latest amplifier technology and outstanding product quality. Like all devices from RESTEK, the EXTENT power amplifier was not only developed in Germany, but is also built entirely by hand in Germany. All components have been optimized for long durability and ease of servicing. The design is modern and timeless: with the exception of the on-off switch, all controls have been placed on the back of the amplifier.

Stereo is mono plus mono

Two is always one plus one. This truism has a deeper meaning in amplifier technology: By separating the amplification power into two housings, one achieves several decisive advantages over integrated power amplifiers or integrated integrated amplifiers:

Mono power amplifiers can be installed directly at the loudspeaker. The supply cables to the speakers can be extremely short. Electrical and acoustic losses are reduced to a minimum, which is particularly important with low-impedance loudspeakers.
Crosstalk between the two stereo channels is excluded when using mono power amplifiers. The spatial impression of the music is therefore fundamentally more perfect than when using integrated two-channel amplifiers.

The circuitry within the power stage is divided into four areas:

The amplifier stages, i.e. voltage amplifiers (driver stage) and current amplifiers (output stage)
Operating and protection electronics to control and manage all functions.
Instrument and status displays to inform the user.
Power supply unit to power the entire device.
The RESTEK power amplifier EXTENT is designed for a minimum load impedance of 1 ohm. An output power of more than 1,000 watts can be called up at this impedance. This means that the RESTEK EXTENT can also drive loudspeakers that are considered to be critical in excellent quality.

A successful design is characterized by timeless modernity

All controls were relegated to the back of the device except for the on / off switch. This not only contributes to the timelessly elegant design, but also makes the signal paths in the device short.

Clear displays give the user information about the status of the mono power amplifiers at all times. The large VU meter shows the applied output voltage and thus the power output. The backlight can be switched off at any time on request.

Eight LED displays on the front show the operating or operating status and provide information about the status of the protective circuits.
